Full Description
Join us for a relaxing day out in the Taurus Mountains to see a different side of Antalya. If you enjoy nature, quiet villages, and scenic drives away from the crowded resorts, this trip to the Altınbeşik Cave is a perfect choice. You’ll get to see the famous local "Button Houses," fantastic mountain views, and one of the most impressive caves in the region.
The tour runs every morning. We’ll pick you up right from your hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, so you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. A local guide will be with you all day to share stories about the places we visit and answer any questions you might have.
Our first stop heading up into the mountains is Avasun village, sitting about 900 meters above sea level. The views here are great, but they get even better as we climb to 1,200 meters. We’ll stop there so you can take some panoramic photos of the Green Canyon and Green Lake stretching out below.
Next, we visit Ürünlü village to see the traditional "Button Houses" (Düğmeli Evler). These houses are unique to this region and are built without cement. We won't just look from the outside; we’ll take a 30-minute coffee break inside one of these historic homes to experience the atmosphere firsthand.
Then comes the main highlight: Altınbeşik Cave National Park. This place holds Turkey’s largest underground lake. You’ll hop on a boat to explore the inside of the cavern. drifting past huge stalagmites and rock formations. It’s a really cool experience to see the cave right from the water.
After the cave, we’ll head over to Ormana village for lunch at a local spot. It’s a peaceful place, famous for its untouched nature and more of those charming button houses. It’s a nice break to enjoy some good food and fresh mountain air.
Our final stop is Sarıhacılar village, an old settlement located on the historic Silk Road. Here, you can visit a mosque that’s over 600 years old and see more of the local history. Afterward, we’ll start the drive back to Antalya and drop you off at your hotel in the afternoon.
This is a great way to escape the city crowds and see the real nature of the Taurus Mountains. It’s a laid-back, cultural day trip that shows you the history and beauty of the countryside.
